TOO BUSY TO THINK ABOUT DEATH July 31, 2005

Lying here in the ground,
No one to help me,
No one to talk to,
Only my thoughts and previous actions for company.

I never spent my life thinking about death.
Why would I??
I was too busy living!
Playing, Studying, Starting a Family, Working,
Building my wealth,
I had no time to spare to think about death.

What have I done with my time?
What did I achieve?
How will that help me now?

I never stopped to gain reward,
To think of the consequences of each daily action,
To find seconds or minutes to supplicate,
I never stopped to remember my lord.
Who waited for me each day,
My creator, the almighty, the great,
I wish I’d found time,
Whilst washing the car,
Or putting the kids to bed,
On my way to work,
To think of my next journey,
To plan ahead, to build eternal wealth,
I wish I’d found time to think about death!!

This poem sums up me, no time to do the things we shoud be doing but all the time to do everything else.I wonder how many other people are out there like me who will be sorry when it is too late.Make dua for all the ummah and me to change the way we are before we meet our lord.Keep up the good work . It only takes one person to see sense from your work and insha Allah, Allah will reward you till eternity.Sallams

Salaams Umm IbraheemThis poem should be read by all.My father-in-law passed away last week and I dont know any one who thought about the hereafter the way he did. He was not afraid of meeting his Lord and I hope and pray Allah guides us all to prepare well, as I want to meet my Lord knowing I have done my best. Brother Yunus is right, we must pray for the whole ummah to take heed and prepare for the final destination.WassalaamUmm Aisha
